To make Haryana a leading state educationally has been the principal concern of the state government. The primary focus of the State Government is to provide quality and need based education to all. Education scene today in the state is at a tipping point. Opportunities abound, yet the challenges are unprecedented. The higher education sector in Haryana is to respond to the dynamic changes happening all over the globe.

A market driven approach, adopting emerging technologies, effective fund raising and deployment backed by the right policy framework by the Government is key to boost the higher education sector. Incredible expansion has taken place in the field of Higher education both in terms of quality and quantity during the tenure of the present government. It is very much evident from the fact that Haryana Govt. has increased the annual Budget allocation from Rs. 288.20 crores in 2005to 06 to approximately Rs. 92758.18 Lacs in 2012-13 (Plan and Non-Plan).

Quality Education to all is the priority of the Higher Education Department.
